MIGRATING LARGE ORGANIZATIONS

The majority of Microsoft’s revenue comes from large organization buying product en mass, referred to as the Volume Licensing program. In the past, those customers used a certified partner to manage their software and the customer’s partners used a specific partner portal. As online shopping increased, customers desired an opportunity to manage and purchase products on their own, removing the need for partners. Microsoft met this request and started the migration of their products to the Microsoft Admin Center. This was a huge endeavor on the back end as well as the UX experience.
